Lamina is what we call a process-focused design. Many designs today are conceived, developed and colored via computer, then later translated on press. Some of the most interesting designs, however, are created directly on production presses using specialized inks, wash coats and tip prints that are impossible to visualize on a computer.
Lamina is the result of a complex layering process involving pearlized inks, which are fused together using a ripcord emboss. It is a very satisfying experience when all the design elements come together at the back end of the press.
