Inspiration, "While doing research on my natural surroundings, I was drawn to some roses that were wilted outside the front door of my house. Looking down on the petals made me think of a picture that I had taken while I was in Italy. A Rosario, which is an Italian vendor who sells roses, was extremely persistent with my colleagues and I. Determined to get this man to relinquish, a friend bought this Rosario's whole bundle of roses. The mass of colorful petals sitting on the table in front of me seemed nothing less than picture perfect. I used the photo of the roses in combination with a brocade in Photoshop to create this design. Through a series of trial and error, I came up with a design that I felt explained my experience abroad. Modern Romantic."
