Inspiration, "I was inspired by the black and white keys on a piano. They make such a great natural pattern. Rather than using the parallel lines the keys produce, I abstracted the lines to give the design a more contemporary feel. Just as a pianist would uniquely stylize a performance piece to make it more interesting, I jazzed up this well known pattern to create a look that could stand on its own."
